About the Day

Jeff and I decided on a destination wedding because we want to have a chance to spend time with the people we love most. Our wedding will be held in the rainforest of Belize so that everyone can have a bit of the fun and adventure that we love! We've never been to Belize before, but it looks like a beautiful country with exciting things to see and do: everything from hiking the rainforest, to caving excursions, to Mayan ruins, and reef diving. We hope that you will be as excited about this adventure as we are!

The wedding ceremony and reception will both be held at the Lodge at Chaa Creek, near San Ignacio, in the rainforest near the western border of Belize. We have chosen this site because it is a comfortable, upscale resort, known for being one of the nicest in Belize. (Check out visitors' comments at Trip Advisor) We especially like this particular lodge because of its commitment to low-impact, sustainable tourism; it strives to be integrated harmoniously into the natural environment and indigenous people of Belize.
